Lucknow, Sept. 8 -- Since its inception, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has received 58,545 complaints from homebuyers, accounting for 39% of all consumer complaints filed under the RERA Act nationwide. Of these, 50,812 have been resolved, representing nearly 40% of total complaints disposed of across India. With a disposal rate of 85.20%, UP RERA continues to outperform most other states in accountability and consumer protection, the authority said on Sunday. In 2025 alone, 2,394 complaints have been filed, of which 1,810 have already been addressed, underscoring UP RERA's time-bound and proactive approach. Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said, "The high rate of complaint disposal reflects our efficiency and commitment to timely justice."
