UP RERA holds statewide interaction to improve real estate compliance
LUCKNOW, Dec. 12 -- The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) on Thursday held an interactive session with promoters from across the state to address challenges in real estate project development and improve regulatory compliance.
During the promoter awareness and feedback session, UP RERA chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy urged promoters to strictly follow the authority's norms and to honour commitments made to homebuyers.
Emphasising the need for greater clarity, accountability and transparency in the sector, he advised promoters to "improve the name and fame of their company by strictly following RERA rules and regulations."
Bhoosreddy assured participants that any SOP- or portal-related issue submitted with complete details would be resolved within three to four days.
Promoters were advised to submit project extension applications on time, follow banking regulations rigorously, and avoid deviations from the prescribed 'Agreement for Sale' format. They were also instructed to update their details as per information available on the Registrar of Companies (ROC) website, ensure tower-wise quarterly progress reports, and complete all pending compliances in cases under abeyance.
UP RERA further directed promoters to constitute apartment owners' associations within the stipulated time once 50 percent of units are allotted.
Officials informed participants that map-uploading issues on the UP RERA portal had been resolved and that the permissible document upload size had been increased for convenience.
The authority also highlighted recent regulatory reforms and pointed out commonly observed lapses among promoters.
Emphasis was laid on avoiding improper practices, maintaining complete documentation, and ensuring strict regulatory discipline to protect home buyers' interests and uphold sector credibility.
Key financial compliance guidelines were explained, including common errors and the steps needed to prevent them. Promoters received guidance on maintaining financial transparency, ensuring timely submissions and preparing error-free documentation for smoother approvals and process efficiency.
Prominent attendees included UP RERA secretary Mahendra Verma, principal advisor Abrar Ahmad, legal advisor Chandan Singh and finance consultant Sudhanshu Tripathi.HTC...
