UP may see reduced intensity of monsoon from today
LUCKNOW, Aug. 6 -- With Uttar Pradesh having received 8% surplus rainfall so far, monsoon activities in the state are likely to lose intensity from Wednesday (Aug 6). The state received 424.4 mm rainfall against a normal of 394.1 mm. East UP got 388.3 mm against a normal of 421.8 mm (8%) deficit while west UP saw 476 mm rain against a normal of 355.3 (34% surplus), said the weatherman.
During the last 24 hours, Lucknow received 11.1 mm rainfall. In this season, the state capital recorded 338.3 mm actual rain against a normal of 352.5 mm rainfall, a deficit of 4%.
Lucknow is likely to see a partly cloudy sky becoming generally cloudy with one or two spells of rain/thundershowers. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively, stated the Met department....
