UP may see 6-8degC jump in temp this week, says Met office
Lucknow, May 11 -- The Lucknow meteorological centre has predicted a significant rise in temperature of 6 to 8degC across UP this week after a spell of rain.
"With the influence of the western disturbance having subsided and the absence of any active weather systems, the weather across the state is expected to remain predominantly dry for the next two days. Subsequently-and despite the possibility of light rainfall in the northern parts of the state-a significant rise in temperature of 6-8degC is anticipated this week; however, there is currently no likelihood of a heatwave occurring in the state during this period," said Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Lucknow met office.
On Sunday, the state capital recorded maximum and minimum temperatures of 35degC and 25.6degC respectively.
The forecast for Monday is a clear sky. htc...
