LUCKNOW, Aug. 14 -- Uttar Pradesh Hockey on Wednesday announced a strong 18-member team for the 15th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship, already happening at Jalandhar. The team include Anurag Chauhan, Vikrant, Manoj Yadav, Ujjwal Pal, Ajit Pal, Anand Rajbhar, Vishal Pandey, Abhishek Khatik, Pankaj Saini, Irfan Hussain, Rahul Rajbhar, Fahad Khan, Zaid Khan, Akash Pal, Mitlesh Yadav, Ajay Gond, Satyam Pandey and Triloki Venvanshi. Uttar Pradesh had won a silver medal at the last nationals. "We have selected a good side, capable of winning the title this time," UP Hockey's secretary, Rajneesh Mishra said on Wednesday. It was a day of big wins in the Super League of the District Football League-2025 as both Tektro Lucknow Club and Tektro Lucknow Reserve scored big victories, at the Rastogi Inter College here on Wednesday. In the first match Tektro Lucknow Club defeated Satsun Club 5-0. Utkarsh scored a brace, whereas Aryan, Kamal and Aditya shared three goals between them. In the second match, Tektro Lucknow Reserve defeated Milani Club 6-0. Nikhil, Abhishek, Parabhav, Ayan, Bhaskar, and Neeraj scored a goal each.
