UP govt officials directed to file asset disclosure by Jan 31, 2026
Lucknow, Dec. 3 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has directed all its officers and employees, including those from autonomous institutions, corporations, and undertakings registered on the Manav Sampada Portal, to register details of all movable and immovable properties acquired till December 31, 2025.
The order mandates that information must be submitted on the portal by January 31, 2026.
The order, issued on Tuesday by chief secretary SP Goyal, has been circulated to all additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and heads of departments.
According to the directive, the mandate is based on earlier government communications and Rule 24 of the Uttar Pradesh Government Servant Conduct Rules, 1956, which makes annual property disclosure compulsory.
The order clarifies that the portal will open for filing year-2025 asset details from January 1, 2026.
All departments must ensure that every officer and employee submits their statements before the deadline. Departments have also been instructed to verify and duly forward the uploaded information for official records.
The order further states that if any employee fails to submit the disclosure, department-level scrutiny committees must take cognisance from February 1, 2026. Continued non-compliance will invite action under the Uttar Pradesh Government Servant (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1999, in addition to other applicable service provisions.
The CS has cautioned departments against any misuse or delay in the reporting process, emphasising that employees must upload their own disclosures directly on the portal. Departments have also been asked to issue internal instructions without delay to ensure full compliance....
