lucknow, July 4 -- The Uttar Pradesh government collected Rs.17,982.96 crore revenue in June for the financial year 2025-26 in the tax-non tax revenue items. Whereas in June 2024-25, Rs.16,924.73 crore revenue was collected. "In comparison to June last year, in June 2025-26, Rs.1,058.23 crore more revenue has been received under the major head of main tax-non-tax revenue receipts," said finance minister Suresh Kumar Khanna. "In the first quarter of the current fiscal, Rs.54,186.64 crore has been received under tax revenue as against the target of Rs.72,620.18 crore, which is 74.6% of the revenue receipt target till June," he added. Under state tax, Rs.9,696.53 crore has been received as against the target of Rs.14,610.26 crore of revenue receipt in June 2025 which is 66.4% of the target. In June 2024, the receipt under state tax was Rs.9,483.18 crore. Under GST, total revenue of Rs.6,645.52 crore was received in June 2025, whereas in June last year, the receipt was Rs.6,656.54 crore. Under VAT, revenue of Rs. 3,051.01 crore was received in June, 2025, whereas last year in June, 2024 the receipt was Rs. 2,826.64 crore, Khanna said. A total revenue of Rs. 4,458.23 crore was received under excise in June 2025, whereas last year in June, the receipt was Rs.3,432.01 crore. Under stamp and registration, the revenue receipt in June 2025 is Rs.2,666.25 crore whereas last year in June, the receipt was Rs.2,510.31 crore. The minister said under transportation, the revenue receipt in June 2025 is Rs.830.15 crore whereas last year in June, the receipt was Rs.1,126.10 crore. The finance minister said in the first quarter of the current financial year, against the target of Rs.44,356.73 crore, Rs.27,855.93 crore has been received under state tax, which is 62.8% of the target of revenue receipt by June 2025....
