LUCKNOW, Aug. 22 -- About 200 fin swimming players from different districts of Uttar Pradesh are ready to show their talent in Lucknow during the three-day 5th Uttar Pradesh State Under Water Sports and Fin Swimming Championship, beginning Friday, at the KD Singh 'Babu' Stadium Pool here. These players will compete for 315 medals. During this time, district level swimming competitions will also be organized by the Swimming Welfare Society, in which players will fight for 240 medals. Uttar Pradesh State Under Water Sports and Fin Swimming Association's secretary, Narendra Singh Chauhan and treasurer Rachna Singh said that in the state championship, there will be competitions in Senior A, Junior A to F and in Masters category in men and women category. "Uttar Pradesh team will be selected for the upcoming fifth National Fin Swimming Championship on the basis of performance in the state championship, " said Chauhan. "Over 800 players will participate in the district swimming championship which includes competitions for special children along with Group 1 to 4 and Masters category. In this championship, there will be competition for 240 medals including 80 gold, 80 silver and 80 bronze." A rifle shooting competition 2025 will be organized on September 15, at the Bappa Shri Narayan Vocational Institute here. The event offers Rs 10,000 to the first-place holder, whereas the second and third place finishers will get Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,000, respectively.
