Rajasthan captain Jaswant Singh won the toss and invited Uttar Pradesh to bat first. Batting first, the Uttar Pradesh team scored 161 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Chasing a big target of 162 runs, the Rajasthan team could score only 139 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Uttar Pradesh won the final match by 22 runs.
