UP chief secy, Indian envoy inaugurate defPavilion at Greek exhibition
Lucknow, May 8 -- Uttar Pradesh chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh chaired several round table conferences with representatives from the Government of Greece and the Government of Armenia at the Defence Exhibition in Athens, Greece that commenced on May 6.
The move comes when the state government is exploring investment opportunities for the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor to further strengthen its position in India's defence landscape.
Both Greece and Armenia have expressed keen interest in investing in India in collaboration with Indian companies, highlighting potential opportunities for partnerships and growth. Singh and India's Ambassador to Greece Rudrendra Tandon inaugurated the India Pavilion at the exhibition.
The defence exhibition, which will conclude on May 8, features participation from 35 countries, with numerous events and visits to various stalls showcasing cutting-edge defence technology, according to a press release.
The Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor delegation's presence at the exhibition underscores the state's commitment to exploring new avenues for defence industrial development and fostering international collaborations, it said.
This initiative is expected to pave the way for new investments, technological advancements, and strategic partnerships in the defence sector, further solidifying Uttar Pradesh's position as a key player in India's defence industrial landscape....
