UP charts vision for comprehensive development
Lucknow, Nov. 30 -- A vision document for the comprehensive development of Uttar Pradesh is being prepared, with brainstorming sessions and master plan formulation underway across all departments, a spokesperson said. During this process, at a consultation workshop organised by the Department of Development, Housing and Urban Planning, Minister for Urban Development and Energy A. K. Sharma presented the vision and roadmap for the development of both the state and the nation.
Speaking at the 'Viksit UP for Viksit Bharat @2047' consultation workshop held on Saturday at the Vishakha Auditorium of the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Sharma said that under the double-engine government, the pace at which the country is progressing makes it no exaggeration to say that India will achieve developed status even before 2047. He said that by the time 2047 arrives, Uttar Pradesh will have already shown the path to help realise India's dream. He added that it is the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to make Uttar Pradesh a strong pillar of a Viksit Bharat.
Sharma said that continuous positive changes are taking place in the field of urban development - from upgrading basic amenities and strengthening security systems to improving air quality, enhancing cleanliness, and boosting the overall functionality of cities....
