LUCKNOW, Nov. 24 -- Uttar Pradesh chief electoral officer (CEO) Navdeep Rinwa on Sunday directed the district election officers (DEO) to ensure that booth-level officers (BLO) visit every locality under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and distribute enumeration forms to all voters in rural hamlets as well as urban colonies. He said district officers must prepare a plan to finish the SIR process on schedule and ensure that enumeration forms reach every household. He also appealed to resident welfare associations to assist BLOs in helping residents fill the forms, noting that BLOs in urban areas often work outside their native localities. Till Sunday, more than three crore enumeration forms had been digitised in the state. Voters can visit the official voter portal and enter their EPIC number to get the name and contact information of their BLO and use the "Book a call with your BLO" option. The BLO receives a notification and is expected to return the call within 48 hours. A helpline is also available for voter queries. By dialling 1950 with the district STD code, calls are routed to the district contact centre, where staff address questions and register complaints. To check details from the 2003 voter list prepared after the last SIR, people can visit the same portal, use the "Search Your Name in Last SIR" option and look up details through the elector information. Those who lived in another state between 2002 and 2004 can also access the SIR voter list of that state on the portal. The option to fill out the enumeration form online is available as well. All district election officers and municipal commissioners have been told to set up maximum help desks in urban areas and appoint trained personnel familiar with the SIR process at contact centres and help desks....
