KANPUR, Jan. 15 -- There was a total loss of 413 minutes, which means six hours plus, in the Elite Group Ranji Trophy match between hosts and defending champions Uttar Pradesh and Baroda here during the last four days due to the bad weather.

The encounter, which ended in a tame draw on Tuesday with Uttar Pradesh fetching three points on the basis of the 201-run first innings lead, could have been won by the hosts, if there had been no loss of match hours due to the bad weather.

"It was a crucial game and we dominated the game for almost all four days, and if there was no loss of match-time due to the bad weather, we could have won the game and bag six points at least," said a senior official of the UP team at the end of the match.
