LUCKNOW, April 21 -- The National Health Authority (NHA) has awarded Uttar Pradesh for its exemplary management of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), during a two-day 'Chintan Shivir' held in Pune on April 17 and 18. Archana Verma, CEO of State Agency for Comprehensive Health and Integrated Services, the nodal agency for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in UP, said currently, a total of 6,433 hospitals are empanelled under the scheme in the state, comprising 3,521 private and 2,912 government hospitals. A significant number of these empanelled institutions are equipped with ABDM-enabled Hospital Management Information System facilities, ensuring patients receive digital and transparent services. Recently, 55 large hospitals-each with a capacity of 100 beds or more-have been brought under the ambit of the scheme.
