LUCKNOW, Oct. 15 -- Unseeded Anuj Kumar delivered a stellar performance to advance to the quarterfinals of the AITA Super Series Under-18 Boys and Girls Tennis Tournament, defeating fourth seeded Aryaman Chavan 6-3, 6-4 here on Tuesday. In the girls' singles, Miraya Agarwal advanced to the last eight, defeating Anusha Singh 6-0, 6-0, while Aashi Shamshery defeated second seeded Manvi Rathi of Delhi 6-4, 0-6, 6-2. In the boy's section, Anuruddha Kumar beat Harsh Singh 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, Raghav Prabhu beat Shaurya Birajdar of Maharashtra 6-1, 6-3, Rishi Yadav beat Kanishk Tomar of Delhi 6-1, 6-3 and Sanidhya Dwivedi beat Vanshraj Jalota 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the quarterfinals. Top-seeded Harsh Malik of Haryana defeated Ansh Saxena of Uttar Pradesh 6-0, 6-1, and Yaz Malik of Haryana defeated Mohammad Shij of Uttar Pradesh 7-6 (3), 6-3. In the girls' singles pre-quarterfinals, Maharashtra's Shirimoyi Kamat upset sixth-seeded Ruhin Kaushal of Delhi 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, whereas top seeded Sneha Nandal of Delhi defeated Maharashtra's Diya Manoj Agarwal 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.
