PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 28 -- Following directives from district magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, a team from the chief medical officer's (CMO) office conducted inspections of private nursing homes in the Gauhania area of Bara tehsil on Wednesday. During the inspection at SS Hospital, it was discovered that the facility was operating without the mandatory registration from the CMO's office. Consequently, the hospital was sealed. Similarly, at Shailesh Nursing Home, the team found two admitted patients-both undergoing caesarean deliveries. However, due to the hospital's lack of valid registration, it too was sealed. The team also inspected Arpit Children Hospital, which was found to be registered. However, three children were admitted to the NICU without a qualified doctor present on-site to oversee their care. A notice was issued to the hospital, directing all pediatricians on its panel to report to the CMO's office on Thursday and submit an affidavit. The hospital was warned that failure to comply would result in cancellation of its registration.
