Ukraine fired drones at Putin residence: Russia
Moscow, Dec. 30 -- Russia on Monday claimed that 91 long-range Ukrainian drones attempted to attack President Vladimir Putin's country residence in Novgorod region, north of Moscow. In a televised statement, foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said that the attack failed to cause any damage as the drones were downed.
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the allegation as a "fabrication" and added that Ukraine will not take steps to undermine diplomacy.
"Russia is at it again, using dangerous statements to undermine all achievements of our shared diplomatic efforts with President Trump's team... This story is a complete fabrication intended to justify additional attacks against Ukraine... the Russians have already targeted Kyiv in the past, including the Cabinet of Ministers building," Zelensky said in a post on X.
