New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- England beat traditional rivals and holders Australia by 27 runs to enter the final of the U19 men's World Cup in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on Tuesday. They will face India or Afghanistan, who play in the second semis on Wednesday. In what turned out to be a batting contest between two captains, England's Thomas Rew (110 - 107b, 14x4, 1x6) took his team to 277/7 after electing to bat. Australia's Oliver Peake responded with a valiant 100, battling severe cramp towards the end before he was the last man out, but failed to find enough support. Rew rallied England from 60/3 with a 135-run fourth wicket partnership with Caleb Falconer (40), setting Australia a challenging target on a slow pitch. Rew was run out to leave England on 236/6, but Farhan's 28 off 26 balls boosted the innings. Peake at No.4 got set and raised a 62-run third wicket partnership with opener Nitesh Samuel (47 - 83bm 3x4, 1x6). But wickets fell, and although Aryan Sharma (34 off 23b) raised hopes by hitting six fours, the 54-run stand ended with his miscue against Farhan Ahmed....
