U.P. women's commission holds workshop on welfare schemes
LUCKNOW, Nov. 5 -- A workshop on various welfare schemes of the skill development department was organised at the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission on Tuesday. The workshop was chaired by Babita Singh Chauhan, Chairperson of the Commission.
Chauhan inaugurated the event on Tuesday in the presence of vice chairperson Aparna Yadav and other office bearers.
During the awareness programme, a speaker shared detailed information about several initiatives, including Project Praveen, the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Rural Skills Scheme, education and scholarship programmes, business and entrepreneurship opportunities, skill development, sports and culture, employment, empowerment, housing and shelter, financial services, socio-economic and health welfare, as well as technology and science.
The speaker emphasised the importance of ensuring that women and girls receive maximum benefits from these schemes.
In the second session, a monthly review meeting of Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission was held. During the meeting, the chairperson reviewed the women's public hearings, inspection programmes, and other related matters.
The commission also discussed the various initiatives conducted over the past month, emphasising the need to ensure that women across the state receive timely and effective benefits from the commission's programmes....
