Lucknow, July 8 -- Uttar Pradesh Police athletes emerged as the highest medal winners for India at the World Police and Fire Games 2025, held in Alabama, USA, said a police note. "The UP Police contingent secured an impressive 95 medals, including 45 Gold, 34 Silver, and 16 Bronze," it added. The global event saw participation from 63 countries, with thousands of police and fire service personnel competing in it. India finished third in the overall medal tally, with 560 medals. The medals were won in a variety of categories, including athletics, wrestling, shooting, weightlifting, and swimming. Top leadership of the Uttar Pradesh Police congratulated the athletes. "Our sporting heroes are not just champions on the field, they are also symbols of discipline, dedication, and pride for the khaki.
