LUCKNOW, May 30 -- With a seven-fold increase in new tuberculosis (TB) tests, Uttar Pradesh is leading testing and patient treatment in the country, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak said after a virtual meeting with Union health minister JP Nadda on Thursday." Testing has gone up seven times in UP for detection of new TB cases. The 100-day extensive TB case detection campaign is underway in all 75 districts. A sum of Rs 251.40 crore has been transferred to the bank accounts of TB patients under Nikshay Poshan Yojana," said Pathak, who is also the state health minister.Under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, U.P. has got Rs 4,892.53-crore financial sanction.
