LUCKNOW, Nov. 16 -- Amod Kumar, 1995 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has taken voluntary retirement (VRS) from service. Kumar returned from central deputation on November 13. He joined the state administration and submitted an application for VRS to the appointments department. The VRS has been approved. His VRS will be effective November 25. Kumar held several important posts in Uttar Pradesh administration, including as secretary to the chief minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government. He went on central deputation on December 6, 2021. He has cited personal reasons for taking VRS. The appointments department had sent his VRS to the CM for approval. After approval by the CM, the VRS will be effective from November 25. Earlier four IAS officers from the Uttar Pradesh cadre had taken VRS. They include Renuka Kumar , Juthika Patankar , Vikas Gothalwal and Rigzin Samphel .htc...
