KANPUR, Oct. 17 -- Two tourists from Thailand died on the spot after a speeding car hit them from behind moments after they stepped out of their booked vehicle on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Unnao district on Thursday evening, police said. The car subsequently lost control, crossed the central divider and overturned into a ditch. Two occupants of the overturned vehicle fled the scene, but the driver was apprehended. The accident occurred at around 4:30 pm near the airstrip at kilometre 240, close to Nasirapur village in the Bangarmau Kotwali area of the expressway.
