Two students die by suicide in Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 4 -- A 17-year-old student preparing for NEET in Prayagraj committed suicide in the Naini locality on Sunday night.
He was reportedly depressed after failing to qualify the exam. He first slit his wrist with a knife and then hanged himself from a ceiling fan in his room.
No one was at home at the time. His parents, who had gone to the market, found him on returning and rushed him to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. No suicide note was found, said SHO Brij Kishore Gautam.
In another incident, a BPharma student at a private college hanged himself at home in Rokadi village on Sunday night. The reason is unknown. Police sent the body for post-mortem examination, and SHO Anoop Saroj said investigations are underway....
