Varanasi, March 22 -- Two youths were shot dead by four motorcycle-borne assailants in a Maldahiya orchard of Uchauri village, under the Khanpur police station area of Ghazipur district on Friday. According to officials, the incident came to light when villagers heard gunshots and rushed to the orchard, where they discovered two bodies lying in a pool of blood. The locals immediately alerted the police. The deceased were identified as Aman Chauhan ,20, and Anurag Singh ,20, Superintendent of police (city) Ghazipur, Gyanendra Nath Prasad, arrived at the scene and reassured the locals. The police then took possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination. ASP said that the incident appeared to be the result of an old enmity.
