LUCKNOW, May 23 -- A chance to see their favourite cricketer in action twice for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, first against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday and then against hosts Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday, has left local fans of Virat Kohli extremely excited. This became possible only after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to shift the venue for the match between RCB and SRH here due to the bad weather conditions at Bengaluru only late on Tuesday night. This left everyone surprised as well as excited too. In fact, like million others across country, it was a big shock for budding cricketer Mayank Mishra when the BCCI announced postponement of the cash-rich IPL for a week due to the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. It left Mayank with no choice but to miss his chance to see his ideal Virat Kohli in action in Lucknow in the match against hosts Lucknow Super Giants. However, the restarting of IPL brought the expected smile on his face, and it was doubled when he got to know the shifting of Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad match to Lucknow. "It's a big surprise for me and many others as I immediately booked my tickets for the match. It's a double delight as last week, I was upset after the postponement, but the God answered my prayers and now I have two matches to see my favourite twice in Lucknow," said Mishra, who plays for a local club in CAL's trophies. He isn't the only one who is crazy about one of the undisputed kings of IPL, but there are plenty in Lucknow and its surroundings who are excited to see Kohli in action on the red soil surface of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium on Friday and Tuesday. Cricketers of over 50 academies running across the state capital and trainees of some academies in Kanpur will be here to watch Kohli play on Friday. "It's an additional opportunity for a fan like me to see him play one more time before the match against LSG," said one Taufeeq. "I already have tickets for the match against LSG, but now I have booked tickets for my 9-member family for the match against SRH," he added. Those into selling of T-shirts carrying the names of RCB and Virat Kohli are also excited to have the additional opportunity of making money through the match between RCB and SRH. "I am here with additional 2000 T-shirts in the name of Virat Kohli for this match as I am sure that it's going to be Virat only tomorrow," said one Tapan Banerjee, who sells T-shirts and has come all the way from Kolkata....
