Agra, Jan. 17 -- Two Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) jawans, allegedly involved in looting a Mathura trader, were dismissed from service by the Commandant for 15th Battalion of the PAC in Agra, on Thursday. Both jawans have been arrested and have been sent to jail. Narendra Singh, Commandant, 15th Battalion of the PAC, informed that Narendra and Lakhmi, were found guilty of misconduct while being on duty and have thus been dismissed from service. Five including these two PAC jawans were arrested by the Mathura police in relation to a case of loot on January 6. Police recovered looted silver beside cash from those arrested. A trader got down from a train coming from Chindwada and then left Mathura railway station to take a cab home to Hathras. The accused, including the PAC jawans in uniform, caught hold of him and tried to force him into a car blaming him of being involved in narcotics' trade. However, the trader managed to resist the force, but the three looted the bag containing the silver from him. In regard to the arrest of the PAC jawans, Shlok Kumar, SSP, Mathura, recommended action against the PAC jawans in a letter to Commandant 15th Battalion of the PAC, and the outcome was the dismissal of the two PAC jawans on Thursday....
