Two Nepalis, including child, killed in Muzaffarnagar crash
Muzaffarnagar, Nov. 7 -- Two Nepali nationals, including a three-year-old child, lost their lives and nine others sustained injuries in a road accident on the Karnal-Meerut Highway in Muzaffarnagar on Thursday. According to police, the incident occurred when a car carrying 11 Nepali citizens collided with a truck while they were travelling to Chandigarh. The impact was so severe that the car was completely mangled.
Upon receiving information, police and emergency teams from Phugana police station rushed to the spot and, with the help of local residents, launched a rescue operation. Phugana police station house officer (SHO) Vijay Kumar confirmed that all the victims were Nepali nationals. "Two people, including a child, have died in the accident. The others sustained serious injuries and were immediately taken to hospital," he said.
Hospital officials identified the deceased as Gopal ,30, and a three-year-old child named Anmol. The nine injured are undergoing treatment. Preliminary findings suggest that high speed or poor visibility could have led to the accident. The wreckage has been cleared from the road, and efforts are being made to contact the victims' families....
