Two nabbed for hurling bombs at restaurant in Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, June 21 -- The Khuldabad police, on Friday, arrested two accused involved in the incident of hurling bombs outside a restaurant in Atala locality under Khuldabad police station area on Monday.
As per reports, Khuldabad police arrested two criminals in an encounter on Friday morning. One criminal was shot in the leg and he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. On the night of June16, the bike-borne criminals had spread terror by throwing three bombs in quick succession outside one Bashir Ahmed's restaurant in Atala.
The criminals had also fired from a pistol. Bashir had lodged an FIR in Khuldabad police station against three unknown masked criminals after which the police had launched a hunt on the basis of CCTV footage.
On Friday morning, police received information that the accused who had hurled bombs at the restaurant were standing near the Khuldabad railway track. The police team immediately cordoned off the area and tried to nab the criminals, who opened fire on the approaching police team. In retaliation the police also fired and the main accused Abdullah sustained bullet injury in the leg. The police arrested both the accused Abdullah and Bhanu.
ADCP (city) Abhijeet Kumar said that the injured in the encounter had been sent to hospital for treatment. He further said that after completion of necessary proceedings, both the accused would be sent to jail....
