Meerut, Jan. 17 -- Two minor siblings died of suffocation after poisonous gases from the brazier accumulated in a closed room, in Chhajlat village of Moradabad district on Thursday night. Their parents and the eldest child fell seriously ill, triggering panic and grief across the village. The deceased have been identified as Aahil (4), and Ayra (3). Javed alias Pappu (35), a resident of Rampura village, runs a tea canteen near a petrol pump along the Moradabad-Haridwar road close to Chhajlat. His house is located a short distance away from the canteen. At around 11 pm, Javed went to sleep in a room along with his wife Shahista (32) and their three children-Shifan (6), Aahil (4), and Ayra (3)-after lighting a brazier to keep them warm. As the night progressed, toxic gases emitted from the burning brazier gradually filled the closed room, leading to severe suffocation. By Friday morning around 9 am, when the family failed to wake up, Javed's nephew Aamir Khan and his brother-in-law Salauddin, who were sleeping in an adjacent room, became suspicious and knocked repeatedly on the door. After a long delay, Javed managed to open the door. Inside the room, Shahista and all three children were found lying unconscious....
