LUCKNOW, May 15 -- Two men were killed in a road accident in the Sarojini Nagar area of the city early Wednesday morning after their DCM (light commercial vehicle) collided with an unidentified vehicle near Daroga Kheda on Kanpur Road, police said. The incident took place around 4:00 am when the DCM was enroute from Kakori to Mohanlalganj via Kisan Path. The police said that the front portion of the vehicle was crushed in the impact, leaving both occupants dead on the spot. Sarojini Nagar station house officer (SHO) Rajdev Ram Prajapati identified the victims as Ram Mohan, the driver, and Raju, the conductor. "Ram Mohan was a resident of Bhukhar Urdoli village in Sitapur district under Mohali police station limits," he said. Sarojini Nagar Police reached the spot soon after the accident, pulled the bodies out of the mangled vehicle, and sent them for post-mortem examination. Efforts are underway to identify the vehicle involved in the crash. "We are scanning CCTV footage and surveillance data from nearby areas to track down the other vehicle," the station house officer added....
