Dehradun, Sept. 2 -- Two people were killed and three others were injured after a large boulder falling from the hill crushed the vehicle they were travelling in on Monday morning, officials said, adding that the Max Bolero vehicle was on its way with 11 passengers on board from Sonprayag to Gaurikund when it was struck by a large boulder in the Munkatiya landslide zone at around 7.15 am. The deceased were identified as Rita (30), and Chandra Singh (50), from Uttarkashi district. The injured were identified as Naveen Singh Rawat (35), Mamta (29), Pratibha (25). State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Commandant Arpan Yaduvanshi said the Bolero was struck by a falling boulder in the Munkatiya landslide zone of Rudraprayag district on Monday morning.
