Meerut, Dec. 8 -- Two men returning home on a motorcycle were killed late Saturday night after a suspected heavy vehicle struck them near a petrol pump on the Bisalpur-Bareilly road, close to village Goval in the Bisalpur police station area of Pilibhit district. Police reached the spot after receiving information from the victims' families and sent both bodies for post-mortem examination. According to Durga Prasad, a resident of village Patipura, his son Sewaram, 30, was on his way back from Bisalpur to their village on a motorcycle. The vehicle was being driven by Arvind Kumar, 35, son of Ishwari Prasad Pal and a resident of the same village. Near the petrol pump between Bisalpur and Goval, an unidentified vehicle struck their motorcycle with force, leaving both riders grievously injured and unconscious. When the two men did not return home for a long time, their families went searching for them and eventually found them lying unconscious on the roadside. They rushed both victims to the Community Health Centre, where doctors declared them dead. Acting on the families' information, Bisalpur police reached the location and sent the bodies for autopsy.
