LUCKNOW, Nov. 20 -- A joint team from Aashiana Police Station and the Central DCP Surveillance Unit arrested two alleged arms suppliers and detained four juvenile accomplices during an intensive checking drive at New Gadaura Chauraha, Aashiana, on Wednesday. Authorities believe the group may be part of a larger inter-state network involved in arms trafficking across Bihar, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Investigations are underway, and criminal history details of all accused are being collected from multiple districts and states. According to police officials, the team was conducting routine inspection of suspicious vehicles and individuals on November 19 when a Mahindra pick-up truck approached the checkpoint. "On stopping and inspecting the vehicle, officers discovered two illegal country-made pistols, four magazines, 10 live 38-bore cartridges, one 315-bore firearm, and two live 315-bore cartridges concealed inside," read a police press note. According to the police, the two adults arrested have been identified as Sagar (28), a native of Khagaria district in Bihar, currently residing in Ramnagar Bihari Colony, Ludhiana, and Rahul Shah (21), originally from Samastipur, Bihar, now living in Star Colony, Ludhiana.
