Two injured as cop's carbine accidentally fires in Varanasi
VARANASI, March 6 -- A head constable and a paan seller were injured in an accidental firing on Tuesday evening. Around 5:45 PM, head constable Ashwani Tripathi's carbine fell due to a loose sling, causing it to fire. The bullet first hit paan seller Jwala Prasad Saroj in the thigh. The policeman has also been injured in this incident that happened near Sonar Gali, 50 metres from Godowlia. Both received first aid at Marwari Hospital before being shifted to BHU's trauma centre. They are now stable and out of danger, police said....
