AGRA, Nov. 18 -- Two men were arrested for allegedly spreading obscene morphed photographs of a woman and intimidating her on social media, police here said. Identified as Sumit Kumar and Prashant Mishra from the trans-Yamuna area of Agra, the two were booked under sections 308(2) (extortion), 77 (voyeurism) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and Section 66D and 67 of the Information Technology Act at Kamla Nagar police station of Agra. The FIR stated that obscene messages were sent to the woman on social media, and she was threatened to pay a certain amount else obscene photos of her would be made viral. The two continued to harass the woman and her family even after they were blocked on social media. Police teams were formed and the two were arrested from Balkeshwar in Agra city.
