LUCKNOW, July 30 -- The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), in coordination with local police, apprehended two suspected drug smugglers near the Indo-Nepal border around midnight on Monday. They were caught transporting 22.4 kg of charas hidden inside a car, according to an SSB press note. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the SSB and police set up a checkpoint around 200 metres inside the Indian territory and intercepted a car (DL8C AF8507) coming from Nepal. The team found two men in the vehicle -- Khaleel Ahmad, 40, of Ghaziabad, and Shaukeen, 35, of Agra. Fifty packets of charas concealed in the car's boot space were recovered.
