GORAKHPUR, May 18 -- Two people died in separate incidents in Kushinagar district after hailstorm and lightning wreaked havoc in many districts of Gorakhpur division between Friday night and Saturday morning, police said. Sangita Devi, 45, a resident of Kasya town, was struck by lightning while taking shelter under a mango tree during Friday evening's hailstorm. In another incident, Sudam Verma, 60, died after a branch of a tree fell on him near Khadda police station, said CO Khadda Umesh Pratap Singh.
