Two apologise for promo video on Taj Mahal premises
Agra, July 22 -- An influencer and a businessman tendered written apologies for posting a video promoting the launch of the latter's store and shot on the premises of the Taj Mahal in Agra, officials said. In the video, the social media influencer, one Alam from Chittorgarh in Rajasthan, could be heard talking about the cloth store located in the Shahganj area of the city.
After finding about the video, ASI and CISF staff got hold of the shop owner and influencer, who apologised for their actions on Monday. Shooting promotional videos is not permitted on the Taj Mahal premises.
"We traced the origin of the video and got hold of the owner of the outlet, who apologised in writing.
The influencer tendered a videographed apology," said Prince Vajpayee, the assistant conservation assistant at the Taj Mahal for the ASI.
"Both have submitted a written apology for the video filmed and uploaded. The video was then deleted," added Vajpayee....
