Jaipur, June 11 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested an AVVNL (Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited) official while taking a bribe of Rs.30,000 and another official for demanding the bribe in Jhunjhunu, Ravi Prakash Meharda, director general of ACB said. "The ACB unit had received a complaint stating that the complainant was working under the Prime Minister's Surya Ghar Yojana. The officials - Azad Singh and Narendra Singh - allegedly demanded Rs.40,000 to approve certain files related to the scheme. During the verification process, both officials were found to have demanded Rs.30,000 to clear the complainant's files," Meharda said. He said that a trap was laid on Tuesday during which Narendra Singh, assistant administrative officer in the office of the assistant engineer, AVVNL, Chirawa (Jhunjhunu district), was arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000. htc...
