Washington, Oct. 21 -- During some sections of the upcoming final presidential debate between US President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden, the microphone of the candidate speaking will be on and the other's will be muted, according to new rules issued by the organisers of the showdown.

The in-person face-off is scheduled for Friday morning India time, at Belmont University in Nashville.

At the debate, Trump and Biden will get two minutes each to answer, without interruptions, the opening question of each of the six 15-minute segments, the US commission on presidential debates announced on Friday.
