Washington/New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- US President Donald Trump will visit India on February 24 and 25 and travel to New Delhi and Ahmedabad, both governments announced on Tuesday, highlighting that his maiden trip would further bolster the strategic ties and the enduring friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

President Trump will be accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump and they will visit India on February 24-25, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said. In New Delhi, the ministry of external affairs (MEA) said President Trump and his wife would pay a state visit to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
