Lucknow, June 17 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has stopped the transfer of all officers in the basic education department, including the basic shiksha adhikaris (BSAs), till further orders. Minister of state for basic education (Independent charge) Sandeep Singh took the decision after consultation with chief minister Yogi Adityanath, a spokesperson said on Sunday. According to an official order, the decision has been taken with the aim of effective and target-based operation of 'School Chalo Abhiyan' and other departmental programmes. It has been made clear in the instructions that till further orders, departmental officers will not be transferred. Stating that the future of children and the quality of education is top priority, basic education minister Sandeep Singh said the decision was necessary to maintain departmental stability. The second phase of 'School Chalo Abhiyan' will be conducted from July 1 to 15, in which children's enrolment, educational awareness and community-based activities will be organised....
