Patna, Oct. 26 -- Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday strongly criticised the NDA government over passengers travelling to Bihar for Chhath Puja on packed trains with their journey becoming "inhumane", as the Opposition accused the Centre of not running enough trains to meet the demand. "Trains to Bihar are packed to the brim, getting tickets is impossible, and the journey has become inhumane. Many trains carry up to 200% of their capacity - people are hanging from doors and even rooftops," Gandhi said on X, adding that the "claims of the double-engine government have proven hollow". RJD chief Lalu Prasad also said people are forced to "travel in trains in an inhumane manner". "...Out of the country's total 13,198 trains, 12,000 would be operated for Bihar on the occasion of Chhath festival. This, too, turned out to be a blatant lie," Prasad said on social media. The NDA hit back at the former Bihar CM's remarks, saying the government has announced over 12,000 special trains for the festive season. "When you were the railway minister, you arranged only 178 trains for Chhath, but PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar have announced more than 12,000 special trains," Bihar deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary said....
