Lucknow, Sept. 16 -- To strengthen girls' education and promote their holistic development, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, along with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), launched the KGBV Wardens Empowerment Training Programme at the Deendayal Upadhyaya State Rural Development Institute, BKT, Lucknow, on Monday. The five-day programme, from September 15 to 19, will train 30 master trainers from across Uttar Pradesh, including district coordinators for Girls' Education and Gender Programmes. NIEPA has designed the training modules, ensuring quality and practical learning. On the opening day, experts including Sudha Meena, deputy secretary, ministry of education, guided participants on leadership skills, innovation, school management, and building safe, inspiring spaces for girls. Kanchan Verma, director general, School Education, said the initiative equips wardens with practical tools and a special handbook to help them guide colleagues at district and school levels. Deputy Director (Basic Education) Mukesh Kumar Singh added that the training would directly enhance leadership skills while ensuring girls' holistic growth.
