LUCKNOW, May 15 -- The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Operational Unit, Lucknow, arrested an active interstate smuggler and seized a large consignment of narcotics estimated to be worth over Rs.1.7 crore in the international market.
The accused, identified as Ammar Khan (21), a resident of Mohalla Radhagram near Bajrangi Lal Sahu School, under Thakurganj police station limits in western Lucknow, was apprehended near Rumi Darwaza under Chowk police station area late on the night of Tuesday. According to the ANTF, Ammar was caught with 812 grams of morphine and 995 grams of opium both high-value illegal narcotic substances....
