trader booked for stocking banned army uniforms: cops
Dehradun, Nov. 24 -- A case was filed against a shop-owner in the Raiwala area of Dehradun after banned Army New Pattern Combat Uniforms were seized from his shop on Saturday, police said on Sunday.
The accused was identifed as BS Rathore, senior superintendent of police Dehradun Ajai Singh said.
The uniforms were seized after checks by local police, he said, adding that the case was filed under sections 318(4) ( cheating and dishonestly inducing the delivery of property) and 349 (selling goods marked as counterfeit)of the BNS.
Amid heightened vigilance after the recent Delhi bomb blast, Singh said he directed police stations to inspect shops selling military items to prevent possible misuse of uniforms....
