tourism pavilion at UPITS to promote UP as leading destination
Lucknow, Sept. 18 -- Uttar Pradesh tourism will set up a pavilion at the upcoming UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025, being held from September 25 to 29 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, showcasing the state as a premier tourism destination.
The pavilion is being designed as a public engagement platform. From folk performances and digital storytelling to local crafts and eco-friendly exhibits, the goal is to reconnect people-especially youth and families-with the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the state.
Traditional dance forms like Mayur Nritya from Braj, tribal dances from Sonbhadra and Lakhimpur, Bundeli Nritya from Jhansi, and the classic Kathak of the Lucknow Gharana will be performed daily, allowing visitors to witness living traditions up close. These efforts seek to generate greater pride and interest in local heritage, particularly among younger generations.
The pavilion will also make use of augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) to bring iconic sites to life-from Varanasi's ghats to the Buddhist circuit of Sarnath and Kushinagar. Auto-navigation kiosks, selfie zones with iconic backdrops, and QR-code-based itinerary downloads via the UP Tourism Mobile App will make the experience interactive and informative for everyday visitors....
