New Delhi, Aug. 9 -- The Supreme Court on Friday said it will put in abeyance the contentious ordinance issued by the UP government which is under challenge before the Allahabad High Court to create a trust to take over Mathura's Banke Bihari temple. Reserving orders on a bunch of petitions that questioned the state's competence to issue the ordinance, the SC said that till such time the HC decides on the validity of the ordinance, an interim panel headed by a former HC judge will run the affairs of the temple.
