LUCKNOW, Aug. 24 -- UP Dental Show 2025, which was held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan here, featured discussions on the importance of oral health and the benefits of using toothpaste over tooth powder. The event brought together over 1,500 dental surgeons and provided a platform for knowledge sharing and discussions on the latest developments in dentistry. Dr Ashish Khare, who was the chief coordinator of the event, said using toothpaste was a safer option for oral hygiene. He warned that dry tooth powder can be harsh on teeth and gums. Dr Ramesh Bharti from King George's Medical University (KGMU) emphasised the need for diabetic patients to maintain good oral hygiene and regularly visit their dentist to prevent complications.
